Melissa Suzanne George is an actress, model, inventor and businesswoman from Australia. When she began her career in her native country she eventually made her way to Hollywood and found great successes there. George is an Perth native, who was attracted initially in dance and roller skating. At the age of a young teen she began her professional modeling career and was given an award called the Western Australia Teenage Model title in 1992. The following year, she starred on the screen in an episode on the soap-opera series Seven Network Home and Away. After her debut on screen with Dark City's thriller of mystery, she appeared in various support characters in Alias The Limey, Down with Love and many other films before taking her first role as a female lead in the mainstream of Hollywood in 2005 remake The Amityville Horror.
