Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous for his role as the star of the well-known TV series 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. While at college Christopher Meloni has always been interested in the acting world. He went to study acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. The characters he has played on television have earned him plenty of popularity. His ability to play characters on both sides of law is a draw for audiences. His initial project was a television show, and later, he played an officer for the NYPD. He was repeatedly nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. He is known for his blue piercing eyes that have been the trademark of his character and has helped him create a charismatic character for tough roles. The year 2006 was the last time he was featured in the People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
