Dua lipa is an English singer and musician born on 22nd August 1995, from London United Kingdom. In 2014, after working as an actress and model she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album reached number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles including Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. top-ranked single New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards as a British female solo artist as well as British breakthrough act in 2018. Her album was certified platinum in the world. Dua Lipa was born in London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Dua Lipa has Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. Her ancestors also come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Her brother is Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father who was the guitar player and lead singer of the Kosovan rock group Oda. The band was heavily influenced by their father's music that included his compositions as well as songs such David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was just five years old. She attended the Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing when she turned nine.
